Prime Bank donates Tk 5.0m to National Heart Foundation

Prime Bank Limited (PBL) has donated Tk 5.0 million (50 lakh) to National Heart Foundation, Sylhet to support the purchase of equipment of the cardiac hospital, according to a press release.
PBL Managing Director (Current Charge) Md Mehmood Husain handed over a cheque of the amount to Adviser and Founder Secretary General of the foundation National Prof Abdul Malik on the bank premises Thursday.
Also present on the occasion were PBL Deputy Managing Director Ahmed Kamal Khan Chowdhury, EVP and Company Secretary Mohammed Ehsan Habib, SVP and head of C&PARD Ferdousi Sultana, and General Secretary of National Heart Foundation, Sylhet Dr Aminur Rahman Laskar along with other officials of the organisations.
The construction of the 100-beded hospital started under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) with support from the government under the Ministry of Social Welfare.
In first phase, the six-storied building of 10 storied foundation with floor space of 13, 1000 sft will be completed soon at Shahi Eidgah in Sy1het.
Mr Mehmood Husain said the management of the bank is keen to support the social as well as national development activities of the country.
As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), the bank always stands beside initiatives supporting the country's education, health and infrastructural development.
He assured the National Heart Foundation of the bank's continuous support in future initiatives as well.
Mr Malik thanked the bank for its financial supports towards CSR and hoped that it would continue providing its supports in the future.
