Prime Bank Foundation provides support for poor cataract patients

Apart from commercial banking operation, Prime Bank Limited through its Prime Bank Foundation is simultaneously playing a pivotal role in society as part of its corporate social responsibilities.
The Prime Bank Foundation aims to contribute in creating an opportunity for all to access basic human needs, healthcare, and education, particularly the right to a life with dignity.
Along with its long term aim and to commemorate the 12th Anniversary of Prime Bank, the Foundation has been supporting the total costs of cataract surgeries of 1200 poor cataract patients under the project 'Drishty Daan'.
Till date about forty percent of the targeted cataract surgeries have already been performed successfully working closely with its well equipped and staffed eye care hospital partners.
In addition, the Prime Bank Foundation has initiated another project called 'Keep the Heart Beating'. Under this project, the Foundation will bear the total costs of the cardiac surgeries of 12 children with congenital/acquired heart diseases who need surgery for their survival but their parents/guardians cannot afford it. The identifying of the young cardiac patients, assessment of their socio-economic status against preset criteria and finally the operations will be done by the National Heart Foundation, Mirpur for which an MOU has been signed with them. The project is already in operation.
