Prime Bank, GP sign int'l roaming facility deal

Grameenphone (GP) Limited recently signed an agreement with Prime Bank Limited (PBL) to facilitate international roaming service to existing and potential international credit card holders of the bank.
GP Head of Business Segment Tania Ahmed and Prime Bank Head of Retail and Cards Adil Raihan signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Also present at the signing ceremony were GP Deputy General Manager (Brands) Ananda Zaman and Manager (Brands) Kazi Hamidur Rahman, and Prime Bank assistant vice-presidents Md Shaheen Howlader and Amir Hossain Majumder.
Under the agreement, the GP subscribers will be eligible for special discounts when opting for Prime Bank credit cards.
As the market leader in mobile telecommunication industry and a pioneer international roaming service provider in Bangladesh, the GP has successfully covered 323 GSM partner-operators in 117 countries across six continents, in addition to 79 EDGE/GPRS partner-operators in 43 countries.
Under this agreement, the mobile phone company shall offer '0' security deposit, a waiver in the post-paid start-up connection fee, and a waiver in the GP product migration fee (from pre-paid to post-paid) to Prime Bank credit card holders for availing GP international roaming service.
The bank will provide a discount on the annual fee at the time of issuing new cards to GP subscribers.
