Prime Bank holds seminar on Ramadan

Prime Bank's (PBL) Islamic Banking Branch (IBB) organised a seminar on "Significance of Maahe Ramadan" at a city hotel recently.
PBL Managing Director M Shahjahan Bhuiyan presided over the programme.
Southeast University Vice Chancellor M Shamsher Ali and PBL Shariah Council Member Mohammad Salahuddin were present on the occasion as the key speakers.
Former chairman of the bank Quazi Sirazul Islam, DMDs Nasiruddin Ahmed, Mahbubul Alam and RQM Forkan and senior executives were also present, among others, on the occasion.
Southeast University VC said the holy month of Ramadan was the symbol of self-rectification, mutual empathy and equity. Ramadan provided us with the Islamic regulations in ensuring the right of all irrespective of nation, religion and caste, he added.
The PBL MD, in his speech, said the month of Ramadan guided us to the social economic justice. The Ramadan taught us to practise and implement the teachings of Islam in our daily life and inspired us to achieve peace, brotherhood and patience.
