Prime Bank settles insurance claim on DB deposit scheme

Prime Bank Ltd has settled four insurance claims under the bank's Double Benefit Deposit scheme having insurance coverage benefit provided by Prime Insurance Co Ltd.
Prime Bank Managing Director M Ehsanul Haque and Prime Insurance Managing Director AQM Wazed Ali jointly handed over the settlement cheques at a simple ceremony held at the bank's head office Sunday.
Mohammed Solaiman, nominee of deceased Parveen Akhter received a claim amount of Tk 0.2 million, Shah Fakhrul Islam, nominee of deceased Anwara Begum received Tk 0.1 million, Sharmi Biswas, nominee of the deceased Shibu Pada Biswas received Tk 0.3 million, Rubaiya Sultana, nominee of deceased Md Sadek Ali received Tk 2.5 million.
Prime Insurance Chairman Ferdous Amin, Vice Chairman Shah M Hasan, directors Md Nader Khan and Nazma Haque, Senior Vice President (Tech) Sujit Kumar Bhowmik and Company Secretary Sharif Mahmood, Prime Bank Senior Vice President Ferdousi Sultana and SAVP Mahmudur Rahman were also present on the occasion.
Under the scheme nominee(s) of the deceased is eligible to receive insured amount equivalent to principal amount deposited with the bank while taking the scheme, says a press release.
