Prime Bank to introduce phone banking soon

The Prime Bank Limited is going to introduce phone banking at the end of this month with a view to providing its customers with high quality services.
The bank will also take the number of its ATM booths to 100 this year across the country.
Managing Director (MD) of the bank M Ehsanul Haque disclosed this while addressing a press conference organised on the occasion of 16th anniversary in the city Tuesday, said a press release.
In his address, Mr Haque also highlighted the successes of the bank. The bank has been awarded the Best Bank by SAFA, ICAB. Besides, the bank has also been ratted ST-1 in the short-term and AA+ in the long-term by the CRISL.
He said that despite global recession the bank did very well because of its diversification of businesses.
Mr Haque pointed out that the bank had taken many steps to increase remittance flow and various SME loans to make the national economy strong.
"To ensure a wide and maximum use of information technology, Prime Bank has introduced Internet Banking. Internally developed SMS banking has also been introduced," he added.
Mr Haque told the journalists that the bank had opened another fully owned exchange house in Singapore and three others in London, Birmingham and Manchester in the United Kingdom.
Six more branches and seven more SME centres will be opened this year, he told the newsmen.
Mr Haque said Prime Bank had incorporated a subsidiary named Prime Bank Investment Limited last year and been operating all its merchant banking activities through it.
The Bank is going to open another subsidiary organisation named Prime Bank Securities Limited which will be operated as a brokerage house, he added.
