Prime Finance AGM approves 40pc stock dividend

The 13th annual general meeting (AGM) of Prime Finance and Investment Limited has approved 40 per cent stock dividend for the year that ended on December 31, '08.
The AGM was held in the city recently. Chairman of the company Md Aminul Haque presided over the meeting, said a press release.
A large number of shareholders attended the AGM.
The financial statements of the company for the year that ended on December 31, '08 were placed before the AGM and was passed.
The AGM was told that company's total business revenue was Tk 819.62 million in 2008 as against Tk 724.42 million of 2007.
The company achieved a strong growth in profit after tax during the year 2008 representing 45.23 per cent growth over the last year.
Total investment of the company stood at Tk 5079.41 million in the year 2008 as against Tk 4,174.88 million in 2007 showing an increase of 21.67 per cent over the year 2007.
Among others, members of the board of directors of the company Muslima Shirin, Md Aliuzzaman, MNH Bulu, Mohammad Masudur Rahim, Md Azizur Rahman and Professor Salma Rahman and Managing Director Md Akter Hossain Sannamat and Company Secretary Tauhidul Ashraf were present at the AGM, the release added.
