Prime mover operators protest fuel price hike

Our Correspondent CHITTAGONG, Nov 18: The prime mover operators have protested price hike of fuel oils and asked the government to withdraw the decision otherwise they will go for strike suspending transport of petroleum fuel from the port city. Prime Movers Owners' Association (PMOA) leaders made the announcement at a meeting of the body at its office in front of the MPB (multi purpose berth) Gate near Chittagong Port this evening. Chaired by PMOA Secretary Md Abul Hashem, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Saiful Alam, Muntasir Kader Pavel, Md Yusuf, Nazrul Islam, Md Noman, Md Iqbal, Md Emran and Saber Ahmed. They also held a meeting Thursday afternoon to press home their demands that included reduction in the prices of tyres and tubes and other spare parts related with the prime movers.
