Prison van attack: 2 suspects held in M\\\'singh

Detective Branch (DB) of police in a drive in Bhaluka upzila on Thursday night arrested two people suspecting their link to snatching of three convicted JMB leaders attacking a prison van in Trishal upazila of the district last month. Detectives claimed the arrestees identified as Al-Amin, 25, and Titu, 28, to be operatives of banned Islamist militant outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB). Abul Kalam Azad, officer-in-charge of Bhaluka Model Police Station, said a joint team of the Detective Branch of police of Dhaka and Mymensingh conducted the drive at Majorbhita area in Bhaluka and arrested Al-Amin and Titu at some time in the night. After primary interrogation, the detectives’ team along with the duo conducted a raid in the area and recovered four rounds of bullet, some bomb making materials and a motorbike from their possession at about 4:00 am on Friday, according to UNB.
