Prisoner dies at Magura hospital

A prisoner, who was sentenced to 2 years’ imprisonment in a case under Narcotics Control Act, died at Magura Sadar Hospital on Tuesday evening. The deceased was identified as Khalil Fakir, 48, son of Chad Ali Fakir of Jatrabari area of Dhaka city. Sources at Magura jail said Khalil suddenly felt unwell at a prison cell in the jail in the evening and was rushed to Magura Sadar Hospital. He breathed his last there some times later, said Robiul Islam, a physician of the hospital, according to a news agency.
