Private car, motorcycle, cell phones recovered

Police arrested a mugger and recovered a private car, a motorcycle and seven mobile phone sets in the city's Kafrul and Mohakhali areas Monday, reports UNB.
Police said a gang of muggers in a private car intercepted one Mahfuzul Haque near Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre at about 2:00 am when he was going to Taltola by a rickshaw.
As Mahfuzul cried for help, the on-duty patrol police team chased the car and detained alleged mugger Jamal Uddin while others managed to flee the spot. After searching the car, police also recovered seven mobile phone sets and machete.
A case was filed with Kafrul police station in this connection.
Meanwhile, a DB police team recovered a stolen motorcycle from Mohakhali Monday.
