Pro-AL teachers form new faction ahead of JU senate polls

Pro-Awami League teachers formed a new faction at Jahangirnagar University (JU) called 'Muktijuddher Chetona O Bangabandhur Adarsher Shikkhak Parishad' in anticipation of the upcoming senate teachers' representative election.
Professor Dr Md. Motaher Hossain of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) has been made convener, while Professor of History, Dr Kh. Lutful Elahi, has been designated as the member secretary of the committee.
The information was conveyed in a press release on Tuesday afternoon.
Other members of the committee include Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Dr Sohel Ahmed, IBA Professor Ireen Akhter, Professor of Archaeology, Maliha Nargis Ahmed, Associate Professor of IBA, Md. Alamgir Hossain, Associate Professor Shamima Nasrin Jolly from the Department of Botany, Associate Professor Masuda Parvin from the Department of History and Associate Professor Ameena Islam from the Department of Journalism and Media Studies.
