JU CORRESPONDENT | Wednesday, 3 January 2024

Leaders of Jatiyatabadi Shikkhak Forum, an organisation of pro-BNP teachers, distributed leaflets in and around the Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus on Tuesday in support of the party's boycott of the 'dummy' national election and the non-cooperation movement.
A JU Senate member also distributed leaflets around the campus to drum up support for the election boycott.
The teachers' organisation carried out the election-boycott campaign in new JU administrative building area at about 11:30am.
As part of the campaign, they also held a programme at Joy Bangla Gate on the JU campus on December 27 and December 29 last year.
BNP-backed JU Senate member Barrister Shihab Uddin Khan organised a similar programme in Savar.
While distributing the leaflets, Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan said the absence of an opposition party in the Parliament contradicts the constitution.
