Pro-BNP UZ chairman suspended

PABNA, Apr 16: The Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives on Wednesday suspended Chatmohar Upazila Parishad chairman of Pabna as he was charge-sheeted in a criminal case for vandalising vehicles and carrying out subversive activities during hartal.
Chatmohar upazila parishad chairman Hasadul Islam Hira, also the local government affair secretary of the Pabna district unit BNP, claimed he will go for legal battle against the suspension order.
Chatmohar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Shafikul Islam confirmed the suspension order from the ministry saying Hira was charge-sheeted with a criminal charge of vandalising vehicles during hartal.
