Tuesday, 26 June 2007

FE Report
A public relations officer (PRO) of a renowned insurance company was allegedly harassed by two magistrates at the Kamalpur Railway Station in the early morning of Monday.
The victim told the FE that he was getting down from the Parabat Express, a Sylhet bound train from Dhaka, after seeing off his sister at 6:30 am. But as he was getting down two magistrates queried him on the spot.
"I was replying to their queries and during this time they bound me with a rope," the victim said.
The victim said the magistrates handed him over to the duty police after the incident.
The police released him at around 7:30 am, as they did not find any allegation against him, the victim said.
