PROBAHO water plant launched in Kushtia

A water treatment plant providing safe drinking water was launched as part of British American Tobacco Bangladesh's CSR initiative PROBAHO at Satian village in Mirpur Upazila in Kushtia recently, said a press release. Mr. Mofiz Uddin Ahmed, Police Super of Kushtia, formally inaugurated the plant at Satian village in Mirpur Upazila in Kushtia. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ahmed lauded BAT Bangladesh's role in pioneering different CSR programmes in the country and also for providing local communities with safe drinking water free from any impurities. BAT Bangladesh's Finance Director Anthony Yong and Head of Leaf Zahurul H Sarker were also present on the occasion and reiterated BAT Bangladesh's commitment towards supporting its Afforestation programme, PROBAHO and other responsible agricultural practices and initiatives in the communities where they operate.
