Problem with foreign football coach
Monday, 20 October 2014
Football in Bangladesh is going through a rough time. Its bad patch has continued without drawing the attention of the authorities concerned and even of the spectators who once loved football. Of late the authorities took some measures to restore the glory of football that made the football lovers optimistic. But we learnt from the media that the BFF recently has relieved the national football head coach Lodewijk who is a Dutchman. BFF often fires foreign national coaches. This act of BFF will discourage foreign coaches to accept job in Bangladesh.
A good coach plays an important role in the improvement of a team's performance. So far not many coaches were able to do that for Bangladesh completing the whole tenure of his contract period. Changing coaches frequently is not beneficial for our football. We need a quality coach who will groom our national team, and he surely will need a good amount of time to bring some positive change in our football. The Dutch coach has termed the BFF liars and he also said that he was not ready to work with liars. The BFF could not maintain good relationship with the foreign coaches in the past and now its reputation is tarnished before the outside world. The BFF must think and work out the terms of contract very carefully before hiring a coach so that no unpleasant thing happens later. This must be done for the betterment of our football and restoring the lost glory of football in the country.
