Procurement body for basic literacy project formed

The government has formed a procurement committee for the basic literacy project aiming to ensure transparency and accountability of its education project procurements, officials said.
Overall procurement and approval activities of the project will be done by the newly-constituted committee. The committee has been formed according to the development project proforma of the project, they said.
The committee, headed by Director General of Bureau of Non Formal Education (BNFE), comprises eight members including representatives from the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education (MoPME), Imple-mentation Monitoring and Evaluation Division, BNFE, Finance Division, Planning Commission and the official concerned of the basic literacy project. rezamumu@gmail.com
