Prof Anwarul Azim new CU VC Our Correspondent

CHITTAGONG, June 14: The government has appointed Professor Anwarul Azim Arif as vice chancellor of the University of Chittagong (CU). A circular in this regard was issued this afternoon, sources in the CU administration said and added that Mr Arif, professor of the Department of Management of the university, has been appointed for a period of four years. Professor Md Alauddin, Pro-VC of the CU, had been running the administration as acting VC since the death of CU Vice Chancellor Dr Abu Yusuf on November 28, 2010.
