Prof Khaleda takes over as BUET VC

President and Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Abdul Hamid appointed Prof Khaleda Ekram as Vice-chancellor (VC) of the university last week for next four years.
Prof Khaleda took over on Saturday as VC at a simple ceremony, says a press release.
Completing B. Arch. in 1947 from BUET she joined Department of Architecture in 1975 as a lecturer. Ms Khaleda became professor in April, 1995.
She obtained MURP, 1980, University Hawaii, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, Thesis title: Revitalization of Residential Areas of old Dhaka.
