Prof Mizan made member of CSWE commission in US

Prof Dr Mizanur R Miah, director of the School of Social Work, Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC), USA, has been appointed a member of the commission on accreditation of the Council of Social Work Education (CSWE) for three more years starting from July last, said a press release.
The Bangladeshi professor was also on the same commission for three years before and he was also honoured ceremonially last year by the CSWE for the outstanding service in Washington.
The Council's accreditation commission fulfills the critically important function of maintaining and advocating for quality in social work education through its accreditation of more than 600 social work programmes, besides about 2,500 more members including individuals and social welfare agencies in the United States.
