Prof Muzaffer, Dr Swadesh get BB Award

Professor Muzaffer Ahmad and Dr Swadesh Ranjan Bose were given Bangladesh Bank Award 2013 posthumously on Wednesday for their lifetime and distinct contribution to the economy and the development of the country. Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith handed a gold medal, Tk 0.1 million in cash and a BB crest to each of the heir of the awarded economists at a programme at the BB's training centre at Mirpur in the city, according to a news agency.
