Prof Nasir wins int'l 'Dean of the Year 2025' award

Prof Dr. Md. Nasir Uddin has been honoured with the prestigious 'Dean of the Year 2025' award by the London School of Digital Business (LSDB), UK.
The award was announced on September 26 in a virtual meeting with more than 400 scholars and academics worldwide.
The formal award presentation ceremony will be held in Sharjah, Dubai on November 6, says a press release.
During his tenure as Dean of the National University (2017-2024), Professor Nasir exhibited visionary leadership in higher education. LSDB recognised his major initiatives, including the development of the Academic Master Plan and the Blended Learning Roadmap, his leadership in producing online video lectures during the COVID-19 pandemic and the introduction of skill-based postgraduate diploma programs for hundreds of thousands of students across Bangladesh.
LSDB is a leading international platform dedicated to digital training, leadership development and academic certification, with a professional network spanning over 74 countries.
Reflecting on his achievement, Professor Nasir said, "In March 2024, an LSDB team began profiling educators worldwide. They initially assessed Google Scholar, ResearchGate, LinkedIn, institutional websites and social media profiles. Later, they conducted an online interview and verified my academic contributions."
"This honour is not mine alone. It belongs to the entire National University community. The award demostrated that with vision, integrity and dedication, Bangladeshi educators can make a significant impact on the global stage," he stated.
