Prof Rafiq\\\'s death anniv today

The 44th death anniversary of martyred intellectual Prof Rafiqul Islam will be observed today (Wednesday), reports UNB.
On this day in 1971, Pakistani occupation forces picked up Rafiq, a teacher of the Bengali department of Darshana College, from his residence in Kushtia. Prof Rafiq neither returned. His body was ever found either. On the occasion, cooked foods will be distributed among the destitutes.
