Progress in women empowerment good: Muhith

Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Saturday observed that the country is making a good progress in women empowerment by ensuring equal opportunities to them in all the sectors. The women of the country are now having a greater access to education, healthcare, sports and employment and in many other areas compared to the past, he said. The Finance Minister was addressing the prize-giving ceremony of Sylhet Division Women’s Football Tournament on the Police Lines Playground in the city. He said women’s participation in all the sectors has been playing a significant role in the progress of Bangladesh.
