Progressive Credit approves 16pc, 17pc dividends

The Progressive Credit Co-operative Society Ltd approved 16 per cent and 17 per cent dividend, respectively at its 15th and 16th annual general meetings held in the city recently for its shareholders, says a press release.
Chairman of the company Abul Kashem Chowdhury presided over the meetings while Managing Director Satya Gopal Das conducted the procedures of the meetings.
A large number of shareholders attended the meetings. The shareholders also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier the new management committee of the company was elected unopposed with Shafiq Khan as chairman, Sandhya Roy as vice-chairman and Abul Kashem Chowdhury, Md Shafiuddin, Shapnahar Begum and Nurtaj as directors.
