Project launched with ILO for building qualified workforce

The government and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) on Thursday launched a major initiative to achieve the goal of building a better trained and qualified workforce for key industry sectors with a project involving Canadian dollar 19.5 million. The project titled ‘Bangladesh Skills for Employment and Productivity’ (B-SEP) was launched at a ceremony in the city. Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, Canadian High Commissioner Heather Cruden and ILO Country Director for Bangladesh Srinivasa B Reddy were present at the function, said an ILO media release, according to a news agency.
