Project taken up for Sirajganj poura floating people

SIRAJGANJ, Nov 4: A discussion and view exchange meeting was recently held at Sirajganj Pourashava with the Poura Mayor TRM Noor-E-Alam Helal in the chair.
Findings of a survey initiated by the Urban Partnerships for Poverty Reduction Project on floating people in the poura area was disclosed at the meeting.
The survey conducted with the financial assistance of UNDP and DFID found that some 877 people live under open sky. The Mayor said the floating people would be benefited if a rehabilitation project is implemented.
