Proper education must to ensure flourishing children's talents

Speakers at an advocacy meeting said that talents of the children must be flourished properly through providing them with proper education irrespective of their socio-economic status to ensure their human rights in society reports BSS from Rangpur Friday.

They said this at the meeting organised by Rangpur district unit of Bangladesh Shishu Academy (BSA) with the assistances of UNICEF at the upazila parishad hall room in Mithapukur Upazila town here Thursday.

Chaired by Rangpur District Children Organiser Mokhlesur Rahman of BSA, the meeting was attended by Mithapukur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Saiful Islam as the chief guest while Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mithapukur Thana Ohidul Islam was present as the special guest.

Parents of school students, members of the civil society, community leaders, teachers, members of the school managing committees, UP chairmen and members, government and NGO officials and journalists were present at the meeting.

Upazila Children Affairs Officer Abdul Wahed, Family Planning Officer Shahadat Hossain, Education Officer Shahjahan Siddique, Secondary Education Officer Shahidul Islam, Women Affairs Officer Seloara Begum, Trainer Faruk Hossain Munshi, Agriculture Office Golam Mostafa and Duragpur Union Chairman Enamul Haque Pradhan spoke on the occasion.

The speakers laid stress on the need of expanding initial stage educational activities and facilities everywhere to ensure flourishing talents of all children both in rural and urban areas to make the universal primary education programme successful.

The children and their parents should be given all possible facilities in bringing every child under the initial education activities with a view to enrolling all of them as developing children in the primary education programmes will make them worthy citizens, they added.
