Proposal for ETZ in Cox’s Bazar set to get cabinet body nod

A proposal for setting up an exclusive tourist zone (ETZ) in Cox’s Bazar is going to be considered by the Cabinet Economic Affairs Committee at its Wednesday’s meeting. The proposed ETZ will be implemented under public-private partnership. According to official sources, the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism has already put forward the proposal to the Cabinet Division to place it at the Cabinet body meeting. The Cabinet Economic Affairs Committee (CEAC) is the highest authority to recommend such proposals for the Prime Minister’s approval. The sources said the Prime Minister gives the final approval on the basis the CEAC’s positive note, according to a news agency.
