Proshika staff poised to foil Faruque's entry

Security was stepped up at the headquarters of Proshika at Mirpur in the city Sunday as employees of the non-governmental organisation (NGO) demonstrated to prevent entry of its sacked chairman Kazi Faruque.
The employees of the NGO took up position inside the building at Mirpur-2 under Pallabi police station and kept its main gate locked from the morning on information that Faruque and his musclemen might turn up at the building.
"We've beefed up security on the Proshika premises to thwart any unrest," Officer-in-Charge of Pallabi police station Iqbal Hossain told the FE.
