Prospects of e-commerce looking up

Reports say Bangladesh has seen a huge growth in online business and also online money transactions. From increasingly bigger players to grocery shops of different localities, all have been trying to serve the customers either online or ensure home service delivery using technology since the outbreak of the Covid-19 in the country in March.
We see the rise of new entrepreneurs and there is scope for almost everybody to become self-employed. Even those who have lost jobs during the pandemic can explore opportunities to take their own business initiatives. They can do something new and innovative taking collective initiative.
However, what is important is business climate and regulatory and financial support to new entrepreneurs. E-commerce is the field where there is scope for investment and employment generation. Authorities should provide special initiative to build a generation of entrepreneurs focusing on e-commerce.
