Thursday, 27 November 2014
The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has brushed off as ‘rumours’ suspected leak of question papers of Primary School Certificate (PSC) and Ebtedayee examinations. In a media statement on Wednesday, it said some media outlets had been running ‘misleading news’ since the beginning of the exams. The ministry had been ‘closely observing’ and ‘seriously analysing’ the matter of alleged question paper leak. A section of the media reported ‘leak’ of question papers of English and Bangla after the exams began on Sunday. Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman, however, dismissed the reported leak. The ministry requested all not to publish ‘mean, false, baseless, motivated and suspicious news’ taking into consideration the future of the examinees. It advised the guardians not to worry over the rumours. About 3.1 million students are sitting the PSC and Ebtedayee tests this year, according to a news agency.
