Pubali Bank allocates Tk 1.0b for Sylhet SMEs

Pubali Bank Ltd has allocated Tk 1.0 billion for small and medium entrepreneurs of Sylhet, says a press release. This was revealed at a discussion held between Pubali Bank Limited and Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry held at the Sylhet Chamber conference hall recently.
Pubali Bank Chairman Hafiz Ahmed Majumder, directors Moniruddin Ahmed, Sheikh Wahidur Rahman, Giasuddin Ahmed, Monzurur Rahman, Syed Moazzem Hussain, Ahmed Shafi Chowdhury, Habibur Rahman, Fahim Ahmed Faruk Chowdhury, M Faizur Rahman, Mostafa Ahmed and Managing Director Helal Ahmed Chowdhury attended the meeting.
Sylhet Chamber President Junnun Ahmed Khan, Senior Vice President of Sylhet Chamber Nasir Hossain and Vice President Ziaul Haque were also present at the meeting.
Hafiz Majumder said a separate wing would be established for necessary information at the Sylhet Chamber Building for a smooth and easier procedure of loan sanctioning.
Helal Ahmed said Pubali Bank provides innovative banking services and gives priority in providing opportunity and advantage to the customers through application of modern technologies. Bangladeshi expatriates can remit their money through the bank swiftly and safely.
Pubali Bank provide syndicated loan jointly with other banks where a large amount of investment is required, he said.
The problems and prospects of investment in Sylhet region were also discussed in the meeting.
