Pubali Bank assures Malaysian expats of expediting remittance

Pubali Bank Limited has assured the expatriate Bangladeshis living in Malaysia to expedite the remittance disbursement to the beneficiaries in Bangladesh promptly.

Managing Director of the bank Helal Ahmed Chowdhury gave the assurance while speaking at the Bangladesh Single Country Trade Fair held in Kuala Lumpur recently, said a press release.

The bank took part in the fair.

The managing director stressed the need for remitting the earnings of Bangladeshis through official channels in consideration of the Anti-money Laundering Act.

He also met with banks and exchange companies in Malaysia for channelling remittance to Bangladesh towards expansion of Pubali Bank's remittance business.

He expressed the hope to establish relationship with some money exchange companies after obtaining permission from Bangladesh Bank.

Among others, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Malaysia M Khairuzzaman, High Commissioner of Malaysia in Bangladesh Abdul Malek Bin Abdul Aziz, Chairman of the NCC Bank Tofazzal Hossain, Managing Director of the NCC Bank Md Nurul Amin visited the bank's stall.

General Manager of International Division of Pubali Bank Syed Md Masum, General Manager of Dhaka North Region Shaflul Alam Khan Chowdhury, Assistant General Manager Shamsuddin Faruq were also present in the trade fair, the release added.
