Pubali Bank Ltd has recently inaugurated a modern Computer Lab for development of human resources of the bank to gain practical training in the IT sector. Chairman, Board of Directors of Pubali Bank Hafiz Ahmed Mazumder MP formally inaugurated the Computer Lab as the chief guest. Directors Moniruddin Ahmed, Sk Wahidur Rahman, Monzurur Rahman, Syed Moazzem Hussain, M. Faizur Rahman, Muhammed Kabiruzzaman Yaqub, Mostafa Shahriar Ahmed were present as the Special Guest while Managing Director of the bank Helal Ahmed Chowdhury presided over the function. Pubali Bank Limited has already deployed Centralized Real-time Online Banking system in 156 branches using in home-developed software "Pubali Integrated Banking System (PIBS)". It is the largest online banking network in Bangladesh. The computer lab has been set up through 246 batches where a total of 4920 officials will be trained in 13 subjects. The trained officials will play a significant role in modern banking services in the fastest possible time. In his speech Mr Hafiz Ahmed Mazumder MP said that Pubali Bank is committed to provide the best and innovative banking services needs of the market in fastest possible time. As a part for providing better services and clients' increasing demand Pubali Bank enter in to this new arena of Online Banking with its largest network. He hoped through Online Banking Pubali Bank can provide better customer service throughout the country. In his speech Helal Ahmed Chowdhury said that Pubali Bank is a unique bank which makes Real-time Centralized Online Banking Software by using its own human resources. Mr Chowdhury said that PBL gives priority to provide opportunity and advantage to the customers through application of modern technologies. He hoped that by 2012, all branches will be under online network and by 2014, the bank will turn into an international banking organization including its all extended branches. He also said, Pubali Bank has focused on automation, product diversification, introduction of Agricultural loan, increased remitance and improvement of banking services to the standard of any international bank. GM & Chief Technical Officer Mohammad Ali delivered welcome speech. Managing Director of Pubali Bank Securities Limited (PBSL) M.
