Pubali Bank holds orientation course

A two-day "Orientation Course" was organised by Pubali Bank Limited (PBL) for its newly recruited 150 officers at its head office in the city recently.
PBL Managing Director HeIal Ahmed Chowdhury was present as the chief guest while General Manager (Human Resources Division) AHM Badrul Alam was present as the special guest at the inaugural function of the course.
PBL Training Institute Principal Badruddin Ahmed delivered the address of welcome at the function.
Speaking on the occasion, HeIal Ahmed Chowdhury urged everyone to work sincerely and honestly.
PBL has been providing better services for its customer since 1959 with a promise to keep up its original tradition, he said.
Highlighting the present achievement he also added that the deposit of the bank as on June 30, 2007 stood at Tk 52.50 billion and the advance at Tk 43.07 billion.
PBL earned an operating profit of Tk 1.47 billion during the first six months of 2007 as against Tk 1.0 billion in the corresponding year of 2006, registering a growth of 47 per cent.
