Pubali Bank men greet BRCS chair Mazumder

Members of the board of directors and management team of Pubali Bank has greeted eminent social worker, educationist, former Member of the Parliament and Chairman of the board of directors of Pubali Bank Hafiz Ahmed Mazumder as he was appointed chairman of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BRCS).
President M Abdul Hamid appointed him the chairman of BRCS recently, said a press release.
Among others, directors of Pubali Bank Ahmed Shafi Choudhury and M Kabiruzzaman Yaqub, Independent Director Khurshid-ul-Alam, Managing Director Md Abdul Halim Chowdhury and Deputy Managing Director Safiul Alam Khan Chowdhury were present on the occasion.
Prior to his new appointment, Mr Mazumder was the vice-chairman of BRCS.
Mr Mazumder is an eminent industrialist and tea planter.
Mr Majumder is associated with many social welfare activities.
He contributed to education sector by establishing "Hafiz Majumder Education Trust".
The Trust provides financial assistance in establishing new schools and colleges as well as improving the quality of education in Sylhet district.
Many academic institutions in Sylhet district are receiving fund from the Trust. Of them ''Scholars Home'' has gained high reputation in Sylhet in which the national curriculum is taught in English version.
