Public suffering on lakeside road

The Gulshan lakeside road stands out as one of the most picturesque locations in the Gulshan-Niketan area of the capital. This bustling road sees a constant flow of pedestrians, students and employees every day. However, the beauty of this area is marred by the lack of sufficient lighting along the bank of the lake.
As a consequence, after dusk, this area becomes a hub for ganja and drug parties. Pedestrians face difficulties navigating the road in the darkness, leading to safety concerns. Dishonest individuals take advantage of the poorly lit surroundings to engage in drug dealing, tarnishing the natural beauty of the lake and creating a menacing atmosphere.
We urge the relevant authorities to address this issue promptly and ensure adequate lighting along the lakeside roads. This will not only enhance the safety of pedestrians but also preserve the beauty of this iconic area for all to enjoy.
