Punishing BCL goons
Thursday, 10 October 2024
During the anti-discrimination movement, many students were brutally attacked by the leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Chatrat League (BCL). After the fall of the Awami League government, most of them are now in hiding. Some have fled the country and taken shelter in India. Some of those hiding here and there in the country also try to create chaos. All of them must be identified. There is a lot of evidence, like photos and videos, of their shameless and brutal attack on students. So it will not be difficult to prove their crime.
Over the years, these goons of BCL have terrorised all the educational institutions of the country. They regularly tortured thousands of students. Women students also faced sexual harassment in many cases. Beating anyone for no reason was a regular practice. The killing of BUET student Abrar by BCL goons was one of the most horrific things that shocked the whole nation. During the July movement, BCL goons also helped police to identify protesters in different areas. So, it is high time that the goons of BCL be brought under trial for due punishment.
