Put all-out efforts to enhance country\\\'s image: PM to expats

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who was on a visit to Italy to join the just-concluded 10th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit, has called upon the expatriates to work with sincerity, devotion and integrity to surmount problems with a righteous heart and put all-out efforts to enhance the country’s image and dignity abroad. She was addressing a civic reception accorded to her by the expatriate Bangladeshis on Friday evening in Milan. The Italy chapter Awami League organised the civic reception at Milanofirori Hotel. Praising the expatriates for the role they have been playing for decades to keep the wheel of the country's economy active, Hasina said, expatriate Bangladeshis have been contributing a lot in many ways for the development and welfare of the country. In this connection, she also urged them to contribute more for further strengthening Bangladesh’s economy upholding the spirit of the War of Liberation and values of independence, according to a private TV channel.
