Putin to address parliament on Crimea

President Vladimir Putin will on Tuesday address both houses of the Russian parliament over the referendum vote by the Ukrainian region of Crimea to become part of Russia. "The speech of the president with an address on Crimea has been scheduled for 3:00 pm (1100 GMT)," the first deputy vice speaker of the lower house of parliament, the State Duma, Ivan Melnikov said. Melnikov's aide, Pavel Shcherbakov, could not provide any further details. Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov was not immediately available for further comment, according to AFP.
