Pvt varsity student shot dead in Daulatdia brothel

Goalunda, Sept 7 (UNB) - A student of a private university in Dhaka was shot dead and one of his friends received bullet injuries in an attack by unidentified miscreants in Daulatdia brothel in the Upazila early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Saiful Islam Ripon, 21, an honours final year student of the Law Department in Daffodil University in the capital and son of Mohan Mandal, vice president of Daulatdia union BNP.
Goalunda Ghat Police Station officer-in-charge Abdul Khalek said a group of unknown miscreants fired three rounds of bullets at Ripon from point blank range in front of the house of Kalpana in the brothel area around 3am, leaving Ripon dead on the spot.
