PWD implementing 16 projects in Pabna

PABNA, June 21: Public Works Department (PWD) has been implementing 16 schemes involving Tk 3.50 billion (350 crore) in nine upazilas of the district during the 2013-2014 to 2014 to 2015 fiscal year.
According to the PWD sources, work on 5 schemes has already been completed while 11 others are going on in full swing.
Among the schemes Pabna Marine Academy is being implemented at an estimated cost of Tk 990 million. The Pabna Chief Magistrate's Court building construction is being implemented at an estimated Tk 210 million.
Pabna Textile Engineering Institute is being constructed with an estimated cost of around Tk 320 million while Ishwardi, Faridpur and Bera thana buildings are constructed with an estimated cost of around Tk 200 million.
The construction work of Pabna police line barrack is at a cost of Tk 80 million while Malitha and Handial police investigation buildings are being constructed with an estimaed cost of Tk 30 million.
Regional Passport office is being constructed with an estimated cost of around Tk 40 million while Pabna Medical College and its hostels are being constructed with an estimated cost of Tk 450 million. Nursing Training Institute is being constructed at an estimated cost of Tk 170 million.
Sub-Registry red buildings of Sujanagar, Faridpur and Chatmohar are in progressed involving Tk 600 million while Kidney Foundation and Research Institute is being executed at a cost of Tk 90 million.
