Food Minister Qamrul Islam said Sunday BNP has to wait for five years for the next general elections as the polls would be held in line with the constitution, reports BSS.
The BNP's dream of coming to power through other ways would not be fulfilled as the government has been elected for five years, he said while taking part in a discussion organised by Mujib Sena Oikyo League at Jatiya Press Club marking the 33rd Homecoming Day of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Referring to the recently concluded Indian Lok Sabha polls, he said the election was held under the prime minister and keeping the parliament functional.
