Qatar urged to recruit more from BD

Bangladesh on Tuesday urged Qatar to recruit more Bangladeshi workers ahead of World Cup Football-2022 as the Gulf nation is going to host the world soccer, reports UNB.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Qatar Syed Masud Mahmud Khandakar made the call when he met Undersecretary at the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs Hussain Al Mulla.
They both discussed various bilateral issues during the meeting, according to the Bangladesh Foreign Ministry in Dhaka.
The Bangladesh envoy briefed the Undersecretary about the steps taken for training up workers.
He also laid emphasis on recruiting professionals and skilled manpower from Bangladesh.
So far, about 86,000 Bangladeshis entered the Qatar labour market in 2014.
