Quader asks officials to improve quality of construction

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Saturday asked officials and engineers to work with sincerity and honesty to improve the quality of road and bridge construction for better transport system in the country. ’We are suffering from low- standard construction of highways, roads and bridges, which is contributing to deterioration of service quality in the transport sector,’ he told a workshop on ‘Performance contracting and key performance Indicator’ at the Road Transport and Highways Division in the city. Road Transport and Highways Division in cooperation with a2i Programme of Prime Minister's Office organised the workshop. Secretary of Road Transport and Highways Division MAN Siddique and senior officials of the ministry and a2i programme addressed the workshop, according to BSS.
