Quader orders showcause against BRTA officials

Communications Minister Obaidul Quader on Tuesday directed the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) chairman to issue show-cause notice against BRTA Savar circle office Assistant Director Mohsin Hossain and inspector Ikbal Hossain for their absence in the office. The minister gave the directive when visited the BRTA Savar circle office, Communications Ministry PRO Sheikh Walid Faiej said. Obaidul Quader also visited Savar Bus Stand Road and inspected the activities of a BRTA mobile court working there. The minister also ordered that the computer operator of Tiger IT Company Billal be transferred for his alleged irregularities. He also directed the local police to arrest four brokers for their reported harassment and various irregularities. The BRTA mobile court sentenced one of the brokers a one-month imprisonment, according to UNB.
