Quader orders to stop road digging ahead of Eid

Communications Minister Obaidul Quader on Saturday instructed the concerned authorities to stop digging of the roads to ease the traffic congestion and to facilitate homebound passengers ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. He also ordered to take immediate measures to flash out rain water from adjacent roads of the under-construction Moghbazar Flyover. The minister gave the directives when he himself visited the flyover site to see the state of the transport management and traffic jam. Replying to a query, he said, ‘Nowadays traffic jam is a regular problem. Collective efforts are needed to be more strengthened to address the issue correctly,’ according to bdnews24.com.
