Quality fish fry supply a major challenge: Experts

MYMENSINGH, Dec 21 (BSS): Fish experts at a workshop today said that the major challenge of today is to supply quality fish fry in hatchery and nurseries. To meet up the growing demand of fish protein, quality fish fry is a must, they said the workshop titled " Improving Production and Supply of Quality Fish Seed in Hatcheries and Nurseries" held at a training center of the town today. Adoption of developed technology with the linkage of proper marketing system and keeping connectivity with the fish farmers can boost this sector, said the experts. The workshop for the stakeholders was addressed among others by District Fisheries Officer (DFO) of Jamalpur Md Nazrul Islam, Kishoreganj DFO Md Serajur and Tangail DFO Md Nizam Uddin.
